Statements of Condolence

We will remember him as one of us.

Dr. Ronald A Schwarz, (PCV, Colombia 1, - 1961-1963)

I am the consular program officer in the Canadian consulate general in Los Angeles.  My husband and I knew Virginia and her husband from our time in Manila, when we were members of the expatriate artist group.  We remember them as a friendly, sociable and helpful couple.  To see Larry's picture in the news was a shock to us.
Kindly forward this message to Virginia. Thank you.
Dear Virginia,
My husband and I extend our condolences to you and your family.  We have pleasant and vivid memories of Larry and you from our time when Sonny and I were members of the expatriate artist group in Manila.  We remember eating homebaked brownies in your house in one of the group's meetings.   We remember playing tennis with you and the In Touch Foundation.  You will always have a warm place in our hearts.

Sonny and Liliane Joris Zandueta

Just a note from a Jordanian-American to Mrs. Foley to express and offer my condolence and sincere sympathy.
My prayers are with Mrs.Foley, and I pray that Mr. Foley rest in peace.
Finally, I want Mrs. Foley to know ( I hope she already does) that most of Jordanians if not all of them appreciate the services that Mr.Foley provided to humanity and to Jordan in particular during courier. Thank you.

Sincerely Yours,

Sal Mubaideen

I would just like to say how sorry and angry I am at the loss of Mr Foley's life.  It's a shame that Mr Foley, who was here to serve the local people by trying to make their lives a little better, would be the target of such  a  hateful act.  My heart goes out to his wife, children and grandchildren.

Sincerely,

Amy Schmidt

Dear Virginia, kids and grandchildren,

We wish to extend our condolences to you all.  We are saddened by what happened to Larry.

Yours truly,

Arcie (the sister of Mina Sacapa?o- Frank), John Borja and kids

Dear Virginia Foley and Family,

All of us grieve for a fellow, fallen officer as we are doing today for you and your family. We can not know exactly how you are feeling right now unless we have had a similar loss, but be assured that all of us in the Foreign Service Family hold you in our arms and give you a collective hug.

May you gather some comfort and strength from all of us who are thinking of you and Larry right now.

Dear Virginia,

Dear Madams/Sirs,
I just would like to say sorry for the loss of Mr. Foley. His murder makes me feel ashamed and makes every decent Jordanian disgusted. Unfortunately, our silence allowed the murderers to speak on our behalf.

Sorry again for your loss.

Regards,
Malaz

Larry was my cousin's son-in-law.  Larry was a cousin and important part of our family and he will be missed   Virginia has asked that donations in stead of flowers be given to Missionaries of Charity Home of Love.  Please send me an address  as to where I can send a check.  I have a cashiers check from my bank already made out to this charity.  Please advise so I can advise the rest of the family.

Thanks, Bob

Dear Sir,

Please accept and convey my deepest condolences to the family and staff of the embassy on the tragic death of Lorry Foley at the hands of terrorism. It is a despicable act deserving the strongest condemnation.

It saddens me to know that such evil exist in this world.  Having lost someone in a senseless act of violence I know there are no words to comfort you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Know that prayers are being sent from the States.
Remember Mr. Foley was doing a great service to make this a better world. And I believe good will win over evil in the end.

My sincerest sympathy
