U.S. Embassy Unveils Plaque In Memory of 
U.S. Diplomat Laurence Foley

  
  
During a commemorative ceremony held at the U.S. Embassy in Amman today, U.S. Ambassador to Jordan Edward W. Gnehm unveiled a plaque in memory of USAID Executive Officer Laurence Foley, who was murdered in Amman on October 28. U.S. and Jordanian employees of the U.S. Embassy attended the ceremony. The ceremony was also attended by Jordanian Ambassador to the United States Mr. Karim Kawar.  A tree was also planted at the site where the plaque was unveiled. 

During the ceremony, Mr. Foley was remembered as a man of good humor and great integrity, who dedicated his life to public service and to helping others.
